The new Torsion Bridge is a full sheet of metal, milled into a very specific pattern. This unique shape reduces the weight of the metal significantly, but maintains the torsional rigidity. It’s just like building a bridge – light and strong!
New Construction
Nordica have se a really high standard for lightweight performance with their iCore technology but they are confident that they could take it to an even higher level.
Given Nordica’s pedigree, they’ve had a lot of requests to return to the market with an AM ski with metal. When you really dig into the consumer’s desires and the aspects of metal performance they are looking for, it’s the stability and torsional rigidity that metal provides. They are not looking for the sluggishness or the additional weight. With these criteria in mind, they’ve developed the new iCore TI with Torsion Bridge.
Building on our iCore foundation, we’ve developed a new light weight full wood core. This core is closed to the weight of the original iCore but a higher performance level.
New Shape
With this, they’ve taken the next step in the new NRGy line.
The tip has the new modern shape with a little relief on either side that makes the ski super playful and easy to handle in soft snow. It also has the low rising profile combined with a side-cut that progresses well past the point of contact to make sure that you get full purchase and stability on hard snow.
They’ve introduced a slight taper to the tail with just a hint of rocker to make the skis really fun and maneuverable in soft snow. You get all the benefits of the classic Nordica All Mountain radius to rip it on the grroomers though.
