Nordica Firearrow F2 Ski Boot – Women’s Black, 25.5

The shoes don’t make the horse, but you can bet your bottom dollar that the right ski boots can help take you from a solid skier to a confident, all-mountain shredder. If you’re looking to make that leap, the Nordica Firearrow F2 Women’s Ski Boot has the skills to pay your shred-bills, with a progressive 115 flex that you can really drive, and a thermo-moldable PFP Precision Women’s Fit liner that will cradle your feet in even if you’re pounding bumps and pushing hard from dawn ’til dusk. Old school boots had 2 flex options: rock hard and soft. The progressive flex of the F2, which Nordica rates as a 2 out of 3 on their scale, means that the boot flexes gently when you first lean into it, but becomes stiffer and more aggressive the harder you drive it, making a boot that skis gently if you’re skiing gently, but has all the spine to rail through hard turns and tough conditions. To further adjust the flex, you can simply take an allen wrench to the Flex Block on the rear of your boots, dialing them in to suit the conditions or your skiing style. Since torsional stiffness is essential to drive wider skis, the F2 features an EDT carbon boot board which resists deformation when the boot is under torsion, so all the energy you put into your boot is transferred to your ski, not lost in unpredictable boot twist. The high walls of the lower shell are also designed to increase lateral precision to help you control your fat powder boards, along with a 45-degree instep buckle that pulls your ankle securely into the heel pocket instead of down into the bootboard. Along with the comfortable liner and sturdy construction, the F2 has an easy-entry design that allows you open the throat of the boot wide for easy on and off.
